Stay at the RIVER DUPLEX
The River Duplex has been renovated to the highest standards having been repurposed from grooms’ quarters in the days when Dromana had vast stables). It self caters for maximum of 4 people and is dog friendly for well behaved dogs. The magnificient gardens throughout the property are yours to enjoy for the duration of your stay, with plenty of outdoor seating and a firepit to keep you warm long into the evening.
Upper level
Relax in the comfortable sitting room in front of the wood burning stove and enjoy the stunning views of the Knockmealdown mountains and the River Blackwater below ( check out the wildlife with your binoculars from your arm chair) The dramatic views continue in the spacious, fully fitted open-plan kitchen diner, with everything you need including a large dining area, double oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, and clothes washer. There is also a cloakroom on this level.
Lower level
Downstairs you’ll find two generous ensuite double bedrooms. Bedroom one can be set up as a super King-sized double or as twin beds. The Ensuite bathroom has a full sized, roll top traditional bath, plus seperate shower unit. Bedroom two has a double bed and en suite shower room. Both bedrooms open out onto a private patio equipped with garden furniture which is the perfect place to sit and sip your morning coffee or evening glass of wine.
Large groups also have the option of taking the East Wing which sleeps an additonal 8 people. Both apartments are fully furnished and with free Wi-Fi and are the perfect base from which to enjoy this wonderfully unique location. For parties of more than 12 contact Barbara for overflow options.
Heating is by our central biomass system for your comfort.
Things to do at Dromana
The magnificient private gardens throughout the property are yours to enjoy for the duration of your stay, with 3.5km of paths lined with beautiful plants and trees, plenty of outdoor seating and a firepit to keep you farm long into the evening. The gardens lead into 600 acres of secluded woodland with a variety of walks to suit all abilities.
The local area is brimming with possibilities with hill walking, kayaking, fly fishing, orienteering, foraging all available nearby. The heritage town of Lismore is only 3.5 Km away and the coastal town of Dungarvan with it’s excellent restaurants and direct access to the glorious cycle paths of the famous Greenway is just a 20 minute drive.
Dromana is 20 minutes from the sea with a variety of beautiful sandy beaches.

CANCELLATIONS
We hope you won’t have to, but if you do, we require a 7-day notice period. After this time a 100% cancellation fee will apply. We will do our utmost to resell the rooms for that period. Please note the cancellation will only apply if we are unable to resell the room. Please check that your travel insurance provides adequate cover.
